Groups
Groups represent your main study cohorts, such as control and treatment populations.
When to use groups
Use groups when your design includes clearly defined cohorts that you want to compare throughout the project.
Setup guidance
- Create clear, unambiguous group names
- Keep naming consistent with your lab terminology
- Avoid near-duplicate labels that can confuse assignment
If groups are enabled, at least one group is required for a valid study setup.
Relation to conditions
Conditions are only available when groups are enabled.
Warning
Deleting a group does not delete animals, but group assignments on affected animals are removed and should be reviewed.
