Organize projects

Project owners help your lab keep track of who is currently working on each project. Assigning an owner is optional and is only an organizational label.

Assigning a project owner does not change access or permissions. Every organization member can still open every project, and any member can change the owner.

Assign or change an owner

On the desktop Projects page, select the owner shown below a project name. Choose an organization member, or choose Unassigned to remove the current owner.

An owner can be changed at any time. The project owner does not need to be an organization admin or the person who created the project.

Find projects by owner

Use the controls on the Projects page to focus the project list:

  • Select My projects to show projects assigned to you.
  • Open the owner menu to show All projects, one member's projects, or Unassigned projects.
  • Select My projects again to return to All projects.

If at least one project is assigned to you, NeuroQP initially shows your projects. Otherwise, it initially shows all projects. When all projects are shown, your own projects appear first.

Former members

If an owner leaves the organization, their name remains visible with the label Former member so your lab can see who previously worked on the project.

Projects owned by former members are also included under Unassigned, making them easy to find and reassign to a current member.

Mobile access

On mobile, the project list and the selected project show each owner's avatar and name. You can filter the list by owner, but assigning or changing an owner requires the desktop Projects page.
